January Daydreaming

January  10x10
Well it's January 2015.

The Christmas stuff is put away, the relatives have all gone home and now the house has that barren empty look. The new year is like a blank slate ready for new lessons.

The perfect time for daydreaming!

I've been considering what I want to happen with this art thing this year. And what art workshops I want to take to help me achieve my goals and where I want to be this time next year. My new website is almost ready and I'll be telling you more about that soon.

Now to the painting!

This was done on a stretched canvas. My family showered me with art gifts for Christmas. I have great new brushes, new paint colors and a new photo tent to use to photograph the art. My daughters like a cooler palette so I thought I would try to tone down the yellow this time and try my new thalo blue. And that was tough but I think I managed it. I tried to keep this more about shapes than details and left it a little more abstract. Daydreams aren't that detailed right?

Spend a little time daydreaming yourself,
Happy New Year!!
Lana
